Trust Yourself: Allow Emotions to Flow Through You

Wow, this human experience can take you on a journey.

Yesterday was very emotional for me, to say the least.

I experienced anger, frustration, doubt, hopelessness, and so much more.

I was breaking down internally and then I could see my external world reflect just that. & then last night I sat in front of my altar to pray.

I broke down. I cried. I surrendered.

 

I asked for ::
• my God
• my Creator
• my Source
• my Guardians
• my Angels
• my Ancestors
• my Highest Self
:: to show me a sign. — A sign that I’m protected, I’m being heard, that all is okay.

I was hoping to hear something, to see something, to feel something.

Then an angel was sent.

She said that it’s okay to have this human experience. It’s okay to feel. You’re safe in your body. Trust yourself.

So, here are just a few ways of allowing yourself to move emotions for sadness + anger:

  • Movement: dance, yoga, exercise — be okay with being in your body. Allow yourself to feel emotions so they can move out. Your body is trying to make you slow down to focus on something that is going on internally! Your body is your divine messenger.

  • Scream: Let your voice be heard! The vibration of your voice allows you to move energy out. Get in your car, grab a pillow, go out in nature and yell! Yell so that the earth can receive your energy and hold space for you!

  • Qi knocking: Tapping or hitting different points on your body allows for your body to release emotions. Don’t be surprised if tears start rolling down your face. Allowing yourself to open up to release whatever is stagnant in your body.

  • Find your sacred space: cut out the external world and allow yourself to just be with yourself. Listen to what comes through to you through your intuition.

  • Find support: Having a support system for you to lean on during troubling times is important. They don’t have to fix you or give you advice, but to just listen to you and truly hear you. Let yourself be seen and heard during times like these.

It is okay to be emotional. It is a part of being human. Emotions are energy in motion. Find tools and practices that are healthy and mindful. When you allow yourself to feel and honor yourself, you can consciously see yourself going through the motions. Life is a lovely journey of ups and downs & awareness allows us to take control of our lives.
