How To Incorporate Velvet This Fall

You don't see velvet that often. I always hear women complain that it's too hot. Being someone that is cold 25/8, I love this fabric on my skin. It feels like butter and and keeps me nice and warm. Growing up, I've only had a few pieces that were made out of this amazing textile; a cute babydoll dress, an infinity scarf, and a cardigan.

I can't stop thinking about these amazing bell bottoms and turtleneck aline dress. I adore them even more because they are black velvet. Black is my favorite color to wear and I am damn proud of it.

Well, let's get into it! I was feeling extra groovy in these Dakota Chappy bell bottoms. I had to pair it with a Pac Sun crop top. The knitted cardigan was thrifted from somewhere in Seattle. I actually wear that cardigan upside down. It doesn't fall of my shoulders that way and looks more flattering.

Now to my second outfit. This Dakota Chappy aline dress is so simple and chic. I had to pair it with this dope body chain that I got in the fashion district for $3! Oh, and these wedges! I pulled these out of the back of my closet. They're from my freshman homecoming dance (about ten years ago...). Don't mind my hair. It's a little out of my comfort zone and I thought I should step outside the box with this photoshoot. Picture credit goes to my beautiful friend, Suzie Q (Susan Lundmark Photography).

I hope you enjoyed this shoot as much as I did. Who says bell bottoms can't be in again? If you agree or disagree.. Leave a comment below! OH, and subscribe my lovies! Until next time.
