Devyn & Victoria's Wedding Day

7.1.17

On July 1, 2017, I married the most amazing man, Devyn Anthony Pedrano-Snow. We had a beautiful and intimate wedding at Theodore Roosevelt National Park with a few friends as our witnesses. It was like a dream that I could replay over and over again. You could say the way we got married was unconventional, but who said Devyn and I do things the normal way? We know that our love is honest and true and that is all that matters.

Let me tell you about our wedding story...

Devyn spent the night at his friend's house the night before our wedding so we could have "First Looks." That Friday, I hung out with some girlfriends and got mani/pedis and dinner while he went out for drinks with his boys. The next morning the gals came over to help me get ready and keep me company. I'm really glad they were by my side because it made everything stress free.

Once I finished with my makeup, I slipped into my wedding gown. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to design my own wedding dress. That dream came true and I made the perfect boho dress for my elopement. From soft chiffon to champagne lace, it fit me perfectly even with my little baby bump. I felt like a goddess.

Arriving at Theodore Roosevelt Park, my friend, Thais, helped me walk through the pathway where I was supposed to meet Devyn for "First Looks." I wore high-heel wedges and tripped the minute Thais let go of my hand. You can say I was nervous! I screamed, but luckily caught my balance. (Check out the photo that captured that moment lol).

Our "First Looks" was perfect. I tapped Devyn on the shoulder, he turned around, and I swear we both had butterflies. He started telling me how much he loved me and I was taking it all in. I was on cloud nine. I noticed him getting down on one knee and he pulled out a ring box. Right then, he proposed to me with the most beautiful ring. Originally, we were planning on getting married with my grandmother's ring and he was going to surprise me with a new ring later down the road. Little did I know, it was going to be five minutes before our ceremony that day. I'm one to catch on to surprises fast and Devyn got me good with this one.

Wiping away my tears and sharing a bunch of kisses, we finally walked over to our guests to start our wedding ceremony. Our view was absolutely beautiful and I can't believe how perfect it was. One of our friends got ordained to marry us. It meant so much to us for him to do that. Our ring bearer was the cutest, and let me tell you, he was the most stylish there. Little Evan was a gem.

Devyn and I are planning to have a larger wedding in Seattle when we move back in a couple years. We can't wait for our family and friends to celebrate our love with us. In the mean time, please enjoy the traditional photos with our guests at our elopement.

With blessing after blessing, Devyn and I are humbled to be newly wed. Our Baby Snow will be here any day now and we are very excited to be parents. We promise to bring our little bundle of joy into this world and protect and teach them to be strong, loving, and open-minded. Thank you all for getting this far in the blog post and I hope you continue to follow our journey of love and happiness.
